The Milk Snake is a species of Colubrid snake native to North, Central, and parts of South America. There are curently 25 subspecies recognized. The average adult length is around 2 feet.

Main Characteristics

The Milk Snake has red, black,and yellow, coloring in that order. Some subspecies have short bands while others have long bands.

Feeding

The Milk Snake usually eats reptiles and small mammals.

Mimicry

The harmless Milk Snake is sometimes mimiced for the venomous Eastern Coral Snake which is part of the elapidae family.
